An SAP Release Manager manages the release cycle for SAP changes, making sure developments, configuration, transports, testing, approvals and deployment activity are properly controlled before production go-live.

The role is commonly used across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager and complex change landscapes where multiple teams need one clear release plan.

• Planning SAP releases across projects, enhancements and BAU change
• Coordinating transports, testing, approvals and deployment windows
• Reducing production risk during SAP S/4HANA, ECC or cloud releases
• Managing release governance across functional, technical and business teams
• Improving release calendars, change control, communication and go-live readiness

• Manage SAP release plans, calendars, deployment windows and release governance
• Coordinate functional, technical, Basis, testing, change and business teams
• Control SAP transports, approvals, dependencies, cutover inputs and production readiness
• Track release risks, defects, issues, decisions and environment constraints
• Support SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, ChaRM or transport management processes where used
• Communicate release status, impact, go-live decisions and rollback considerations
• Protect SAP service stability by making sure releases are tested, approved and clearly owned

• SAP release management experience
• SAP S/4HANA, ECC and SAP landscape understanding
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, ChaRM or transport management
• Strong change, deployment and governance control
• Testing, cutover, environment and dependency awareness
• Clear stakeholder communication across business and technical SAP teams
