An SAP BW/4HANA Consultant works with finance, supply chain, operations, analytics and data teams to design, build and improve SAP data warehousing and reporting solutions.

The role is commonly used across SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, ECC and analytics environments where employers need reliable data models, extraction logic, reporting structures and migration support.

• Implementing or improving SAP BW/4HANA data warehouse solutions
• Supporting migration from SAP BW, SAP ECC or legacy reporting landscapes
• Improving data models, extraction, transformation, reporting and analytics performance
• Connecting SAP BW/4HANA with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud or Datasphere
• Adding specialist SAP BW/4HANA knowledge to testing, reconciliation, reporting, hypercare or BAU support

• Gather reporting, analytics and data warehouse requirements from business and data stakeholders
• Design SAP BW/4HANA data models, extraction flows, transformations, queries and reporting structures
• Support areas such as data acquisition, modelling, performance tuning, authorisations, reconciliation and reporting
• Run fit-gap workshops, design reviews, data validation sessions and analytics testing activity
• Work with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, HANA, Analytics Cloud, Datasphere, data and integration teams
• Resolve defects, support migration, testing, reconciliation, deployment and hypercare activity
• Help transition SAP BW/4HANA changes into BAU with clear documentation, user guidance and support handover

• SAP BW/4HANA consulting experience
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA modelling and enterprise data warehousing
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC extraction, reporting, reconciliation and analytics requirements
• Fit-gap, data modelling, testing, performance tuning and support experience
• Ability to work with business users, data teams, analytics teams and implementation partners
• Clear judgement on data quality, reporting design, performance, governance and long-term supportability
