The role is commonly used across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP HANA, RISE with SAP and BAU support environments where employers need practical engineering support for SAP operations, releases, upgrades, incidents and system stability.

- Support SAP S/4HANA, ECC, HANA, RISE with SAP, Fiori and Solution Manager or Cloud ALM activity where relevant
- Assist with patches, kernel updates, system refreshes, client copies, upgrades and environment readiness tasks
- Work with Basis consultants, infrastructure teams, security teams, developers and SAP support partners
- Resolve technical incidents, transport problems, job failures, performance issues and environment defects
- Document support procedures, technical fixes, change records and operational handover notes
Key skills to look for
- SAP Basis engineering experience
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP HANA and SAP system operations
- Knowledge of transports, jobs, monitoring, patching, performance and system refresh activity
- Experience with SAP Fiori, RISE with SAP, Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM where relevant
- Ability to work with infrastructure, security, development, functional and support teams
- Clear judgement on stability, change control, incident resolution and long-term supportability
