An SAP DevOps Engineer works with developers, Basis teams, integration specialists, architects and platform teams to improve SAP delivery pipelines, deployments, monitoring and operational stability.
The role is commonly used across SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud ALM and Integration Suite environments where employers need faster, safer delivery without losing control of transports, testing, governance or BAU support.

- Work with developers, Basis engineers, integration consultants, security teams and implementation partners
- Monitor deployments, environments, pipeline failures, release risks, platform issues and operational alerts
- Improve documentation, branching approaches, deployment controls, rollback plans and support handover
- Help make SAP delivery more repeatable, auditable and stable across project and BAU environments
Key skills to look for
- SAP DevOps or platform engineering experience
- Strong understanding of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, CI/CD and SAP transport or deployment processes
- Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, automated testing, release pipelines or infrastructure automation
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Transport Management or SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery where relevant
- Ability to work with development, Basis, security, architecture and support teams
- Clear judgement on automation, governance, release risk, monitoring and long-term supportability
