SAP Process Improvement Lead
SAP Process Improvement Leads help employers identify, prioritise and deliver practical improvements across SAP-enabled processes. They connect process analysis, business pain points, SAP capability and measurable change.
What does a SAP Process Improvement Lead do?
An SAP Process Improvement Lead identifies and drives improvements across SAP-enabled business processes, usually where current ways of working are slow, inconsistent, poorly adopted or difficult to measure.
The role is commonly used across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, RISE with SAP and SAP Signavio-led improvement activity where businesses need clearer process performance, better adoption and practical change rather than theory.
When businesses hire SAP Process Improvement Leads
- Improving SAP processes after go-live, rollout or stabilisation
- Preparing for SAP S/4HANA, ECC migration or RISE with SAP transformation
- Using SAP Signavio or process analysis to identify bottlenecks, variation and improvement opportunities
- Reducing manual work, rework, delays, control gaps or poor user adoption
- Turning process pain points into prioritised SAP change, training or operating model improvements
Typical responsibilities
- Lead SAP process improvement activity across agreed business areas or end-to-end processes
- Analyse process performance, user feedback, system behaviour, bottlenecks and root causes
- Work with process owners, SAP functional consultants, data teams and business users
- Prioritise improvement opportunities based on business value, risk, effort and adoption impact
- Support SAP Signavio, S/4HANA, ECC or RISE with SAP improvement and transformation activity
- Track benefits, actions, decisions, risks and process adoption after changes are delivered
- Help move improvements into BAU ownership so gains are maintained beyond the project
Key skills to look for
- SAP process improvement experience
- Strong understanding of SAP-enabled end-to-end business processes
- SAP S/4HANA, ECC, RISE with SAP or SAP Signavio awareness
- Process analysis, root cause analysis and improvement prioritisation
- Stakeholder management across business and SAP delivery teams
- Ability to turn process insight into practical SAP change and adoption activity
